Overwatch Beta Draws More Players Than Star Wars Battlefront, The Division Tests
Much to the chagrin of many a player (including some around the Game Informer office), the Overwatch open beta is over. Blizzard has shared some stats that reveal a great deal of player interest.
More than 9.7 million players over seven days took the shooter for a test drive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. That’s more than three of this generation’s big title beta tests.
Star Wars Battlefront brought in a reported 9.5 million players over five days. The Division open beta was sampled by 6.4 million players over four days. Destiny welcomed 4.64 million players to the Tower over nine days on PlayStation and five days on Xbox.
You’ll be able to get back into the fight on May 24 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Blizzard has to be feeling pretty good about those numbers. While they won’t all translate into sales, people seem to like what they’ve played.
