Moto Racer 4 Brings The Series Back To Consoles This Fall

by Matthew Kato on May 04, 2016 at 03:59 AM

Developer Delphine is bringing back the Moto Racer series in this fourth installment – the first one that will be on home consoles since the PlayStation days.

Moto Racer 4 comes out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac on October 13 (all screens shown are works in progress), and features track and offroad two-wheeled racing over 15 single- and multiplayer modes. The game is also being overseen by the series' original designer, Paul Cuisset.

The modes include situations such as Golden Helmet, where you have to hit the player with the helmet to claim it; King of the Hill, which gives everyone but the race leader extra turbo to catch up; and Ghost Bike, a single-player mode where you cannot touch other bikes or go off the track.

Moto Racer 4 also features split-screen multiplayer, 10-player online races, customization options for bikes and riders, and rider personality traits.

Our Take
Bike fans have mainly been served by the licensed-based MotoGP series and offroad, MX-focused titles, so it'll be interesting to see how this game's approach and modes fares. Any fans of the previous games out there?
