Did You Know Gaming Tackles Mario Party's Extensive History

by Elise Favis on Apr 17, 2016 at 07:24 AM

Nintendo's Mario Party games have been around since the late '90s, and this week's Did You Know Gaming digs deep into some facts you may not know.

Back when the first Mario Party released, we here at Game Informer gave the game a 2.5 out of 10, and the second Mario Party a 5.25. To find out how Nintendo satirically responded to our low reviews of the games, you should watch the video below.

The video also touches upon how Nintendo gave out gloves to compensate injured players of the original Mario Party, who used the palms of their hands with the Nintendo 64 controller analog stick to win certain mini-games (tug-o-war still brings back painful memories). There's also a fun tidbit about how one of Bowser's lines of dialogue in Mario Party Island Tour is a nod to Dragon Ball Z.
