Mega Man Legends 2 Lands On PSN Next Week

by Mike Futter on Apr 01, 2016 at 01:43 AM

We may never get another Mega Man Legends game, but you'll finally be able to relive both of the originals. Mega Man Legends 2 is landing on PlayStation Network next week.

The announcement was made on the PlayStation Blogcast, which was released yesterday. Because it's a PlayStation 1 classic, it will likely be playable on PlayStation 3 and Vita.

Originally released in 2000 for the PlayStation, Mega Man Legends 2 is a departure from the core franchise. It takes cues from action-adventure games like The Legend of Zelda's 3D entries and other similar titles.

You'll be able to download it on April 5. If you've not played the original Mega Man Legends, it and spinoff title The Misadventures of Tron Bonne are available now on PSN. You can check out a Super Replay featuring Mega Man Legends 2 for more fun.

Our Take
I never got around to the sequel, but enjoyed the original Mega Man Legends. I imagine that by today's standards, these are a bit rough around the edges. However, they are an important piece of Mega Man history that fans should at least try.
