Multiplayer Roguelite Full Mojo Rampage Coming to PS4 and Xbox One

by Joe Buchholz on Mar 28, 2016 at 09:41 AM

Developer Over The Top Games bewitched the roguelite action RPG genre when it released Full Mojo Rampage on PC in 2014. Publisher Nicalis announced today that the voodoo-inspired game will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Spring.

The console release of Full Mojo Rampage boasts a new endless mode as well as a variety of gameplay and visual improvements based on player feedback from the PC release. You can play solo or with friends through the game’s campaign, daily quests, survival mode, and 8-player competitive modes.

The core of the game will have four players cooperatively rollicking through randomly generated levels using magic-imbued items called mojos, gifted to players by the voodoo gods. Gold and experience carry over after you die, so each playthrough doesn’t feel crushingly meaningless.

Full Mojo Rampage is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this spring. You can watch us get our hands on the PC version in this episode of Test Chamber.

Our Take
As senior editor Jeff Cork points out in Full Mojo Rampage's episode of Test Chamber, it's surprising to see a roguelite game without the typical retro, pixelated aesthetic. It doesn't seem groundbreaking by any means, but it looks like a fun diversion which plays similarly to The Binding of Isaac
