Bethesda Says Fallout 4's Overhauled Survival Mode Will Be In Steam Beta Next Week

by Kyle Hilliard on Mar 22, 2016 at 03:29 PM

Fallout 4's overhauled Survival Mode will be seeking feedback on Steam starting next week.

Bethesda revealed the window for the beta in a recent tweet, seen below.

Last month, Bethesda's Todd Howard had this to say about the upcoming Survival mode in an interview:

Once we get it honed where it’s working well enough, we’re going to put it on Steam beta for a while. ‘Here it is. Start playing it. Give us feedback.’ It’s far easier to update and iterate on [PC]. Once we settle on it, then we’ll release it for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Additional details are not currently available, but as the tweet details, we can all stand by for more details soon.

Our Take
Considering Bethesda's reputation for buggy games, I appreciate this approach to adding new content. It's especially helpful for modes like this where feedback is especially valuable.
