The Making Of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Is Explored In This Dev Diary

by Elise Favis on Mar 13, 2016 at 12:33 PM

Square Enix has released a second video in their development diary series about Final Fantasy XIV. While the previous video focused on the sound design of the game, this new clip shifts towards the game's expansion Heavensward, with a focus on the making of story and lore in the world of Eorzea.

Writers Kazutoyo Maehiro and Banri Oda discuss the creation of in-depth detail in the game, such as how they tackle different religions, fictional languages, and other areas of lore.

We also hear from English localization lead Michael Christopher Koji Fox, who explains how all of the localization and translation occurs on-site with the rest of the team.
