Twilight Princess Team Talks Dungeon Design In Third Retrospective

by Luke Walaszek on Mar 02, 2016 at 09:56 AM

Exploring dungeons is an integral part of the Legend of Zelda formula, and Twilight Princess is no exception. In the latest episode of the Twilight Princess retrospective series, the development team discusses how these levels were built to convey a massive sense of scale.

While series director Eiji Aonuma designed all of the dungeons for Ocarina of Time, the dungeons in Twilight Princess were more of a collaborative effort. Aonuma talks about how certain items helped shape the layout for each of the individual dungeons, such as the spinner in the Arbiter’s Grounds and the iron boots in the Goron Mines.
