Surf's Up Film Crossover Creates Another WTF Moment For The WWE

Sony Pictures Animation and WWE Studios today announced Surf's Up 2: WaveMania, a sequel to the 2007 Academy Award-nominated film. If you've ever wanted to see WWE superstars turn into surfing penguins, well, there you go.

This strange crossover movie isn't unprecedented. John Cena and his wrestling cohorts have teamed up with Scooby-Doo and The Flintstones in direct-to-DVD films. Those properties are timeless, however. Surf's Up, on the other hand? Not so much. Seems like they're scrapping the bottom of the barrel for kid's entertainment.
