Weekend Warrior – Nostalgic For Cavemen
February is drawing to a close, but we've still got some of January's great games on our plates. Add to that some of this month's newer titles and a few others from over a decade ago, and you've got an idea of what we'll be playing this weekend. Connor Trinske (@gwubba) – I've been on a kick with old Rare games recently, and I'll probably end it by finishing Digger T. Rock, Donkey Kong Country 2, and Banjo-Kazooie all in the same day this weekend. I might play some Street Fighter V if anyone else I know wants to play it, but I haven't gotten any practice in because it's hard to stick with a game that doesn't have much to begin with.
Mike Futter (@futterish) – I have been on an intense Diablo III kick, working my way through season five objectives. I’ll also try to get in some games of Heroes of the Storm and return to Starcraft.
Jeff Marchiafava (@GIJeffM) – I’ve been getting in touch with my inner caveman recently thanks to Far Cry Primal, and suspect my spear-chucking shenanigans will continue this weekend. I was highly skeptical going in, but turns out trading my guns and C4 for clubs and beast-master powers hasn’t been a problem. That said, I have been grunting a lot more in the office recently…
Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – This weekend I'm going to be traveling, so it's the perfect time to download Pokemon Red and play that ol' silly game again. I'm looking forward to some forced nostalgia. Outside of that, I should probably keep playing Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam. Have a good weekend!
Ben Reeves (@BenjaminReeves) – I’ll be out in Hinckley, Minnesota this weekend for the Great Minnesota Taste-Together Brewfest. I’ll be asking every vendor if they have anything that tastes like Bud. When I get home, I hope to finally finish The Witness and maybe start playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. If aliens invade and ruin my weekend, I’m going to be pissed.
Kyle Hilliard (@KyleMHilliard) – I have been enjoying my time with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD and hope to continue playing that with my daughter. I also started Far Cry Primal, and would like to get the platinum trophy in The Witness. I also have big plans to clean the bathroom this weekend. Like a real good scrub. It’s going to be great.
Jeff Cork (@gijeff) – I’m planning on starting up Dying Light’s The Following expansion this weekend, and maybe a little Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, too. But then there’s The Flame in the Flood…I’m glad that I’ve whittled down my backlog again, because I have a sense that time’s going to be in short supply real soon.
Joe Buchholz (@JoeyFatoney) – I just beat Superhot last night and have been chanting its praises ever since. I plan on playing more of its endless mode and I want to dig deeper into the story stuff that’s there. I’ll also probably sink my teeth into Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest a little bit.
Luke Walaszek (@Urzashottub) – More Fire Emblem for me this weekend! I'm about 9 hours into Birthright and there's still plenty to do. My 3DS has practically become a phantom limb for me at this point.
