Heart Machine Teases Nearby Release For Hyper Light Drifter By Opening Pre-Orders
Heart Machine's Kickstarted success story, Hyper Light Drifter, has had a vague Spring 2016 release date for some time, but it appears that non-specific launch window might be getting close.
Pre-orders for the game have opened up GOG.com, which isn't particularly noteworthy, but one of the game's designers, Teddy Diefenbach, offered the accompanying tweet below, which implies a greater meaning to the pre-order option.
huh that's funny, Hyper Light Drifter is up for pre-order on GOG. I wonder what that means https://t.co/LV85jCtG8F pic.twitter.com/aUFkhtbOJ9

Our March 2016 issue of the magazine has a large feature running through the first few hours of the game. We also spoke with Diefenbach and his team about the game's difficulty and not being a roguelike. You can read that feature here. Hyper Light Drifter is coming to PC Spring 2016 with plans for console releases shortly after.

Our Take
I spent a lot of time with Hyper Light Drifter for the feature in the magazine mentioned above, and as a result, it has become one of my most anticipated games of the year. I can't wait to play the full game.
