Reader Discussion: What Do You Think About Ubisoft’s Plans For This Year?

by Kimberley Wallace on Feb 11, 2016 at 01:07 PM

As we reported, Ubisoft shed light on its plans for the coming fiscal year, reevaluating Assassin's Creed and letting some other franchises take the spotlight.

Ubisoft is looking at the Assassin's Creed franchise and trying to figure out the best way to handle it going forward. The franchise, which has been annualized, is taking a year off to do so. In its earnings report, it also announced its release plans for April 1 2016 through March 31 2017. This includes returning franchises such as South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Ghost Recon: Wildlands,  and a new Watch Dogs game. New IP For Honor is also set to release along with “a new high-potential AAA brand with strong digital live services.”

We're curious what you think of this line-up and if you think a year off is enough to get the Assassin's Creed series back in shape. Do you even want another Watch Dogs game? What has you concerned and what has you optimistic about Ubisoft's decisions for the coming year? Let us know in the comments below!
