GTA V Goes VR In 360-Degree Film You Can Enjoy In Your Browser

by Joe Buchholz on Feb 03, 2016 at 08:30 AM

I Can’t Even VR is a YouTube channel that makes comedic gaming videos, and it recently released a Machinima that puts you in the middle of the action. The video was created using the Rockstar Video Editor with the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, and stitched together so you can control the camera in YouTube.

Extreme Task Force - Safe Space Party is the first in a series of videos where bumbling cops try to perform the most extreme of tasks. This episode you ride shotgun along one of the boys in blue who has been tasked with stopping a party at the top of a Los Santos bridge. As you might expect, things go awry.

This video supports VR with Google cardboard, but if you don’t have Google’s makeshift headset, then we recommend sitting in an office chair with the video pulled up on your phone’s YouTube app. You can spin and look around fluidly by utilizing the gyroscope in your smartphone. The video also allows you to pan around scenes using WASD controls if you just want to watch from your computer.

To see more work from the creators of Extreme Task Force, check out our coverage of Extreme Extermination Challenge, an equally wacky series created using the Rockstar Video Editor. For more Grand Theft Auto V machinima, delve into these impressive fan-made creations.
