The Division’s Season Pass Includes Three Major Add-Ons

by Mike Futter on Jan 28, 2016 at 07:33 AM

With The Division’s closed beta rolling on Xbox One now, with PS4 and PC starting tomorrow, Ubisoft has laid out plans for the game post-launch. We’ve known there is a season pass (it comes with the Gold and Collector’s Editions). Today we have a better idea of what shape that will take.

All players will get access to new modes and group-focused operations over the game’s life. Those that purchase the season pass, can expect three content drops.

The expansions are called Underground, Survival, and Last Stand. The first of these has been detailed, and will take four-person teams to “New York’s uncharted underworld.”

Those that purchase the season pass get an in-game sawed-off shotgun. There will also be monthly drops of new outfits and weapon skins for those that buy in.

The Division will launch on March 8 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For more on the game, check out our recent preview.

Our Take
This gives us some idea of the road map, but it’s not clear how much content each of these drops will add. I’m of the mind that publishers should offer more detail about what the season pass includes before asking players to pony up.
