by Brian Shea on Jan 26, 2016 at 01:45 AM

Update 2: We now have details on the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. The game is coming this summer, putting it in close proximity to the upcoming live-action sequel.

TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan features four-player online co-op, and each turtle has his own moves with customizable skills. The story is being penned by Tom Waltz, who has written numerous stories about the shellbacks for IDW. You'll be able to pick this up digitally and at retail for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Update 1: Activision has sent over the official trailer release. This one is a bit sharper than the one we nabbed from the Xbox.com leak. This trailer also says the game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

No press release accompanied the trailer, so we expect more details tomorrow. We'll update as we have more info.

Original Story (January 25, 2016 @ 8:28 p.m. Central):

Earlier today, Platinum Games promised an official reveal for its oft-leaked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game tomorrow. Unfortunately for Platinum, Xbox.com posted the trailer a little early.

The trailer gives you an idea of what to expect from the story, as well as some gameplay footage. Fans of the cartoon will almost certainly find a lot to like in the trailer. If you'd like to see the first footage ahead of its release, you can do so below.

The trailer says that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan will hit this summer. Since the trailer is from Xbox, it only lists the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions.

Our Take
Man, Activision and Platinum just couldn't keep this one under wraps, could they? Leaks aside, the trailer looks very promising and has all the action you'd expect from Platinum with all of the personality you'd want from a TMNT game. As a lifelong fan of the Turtles, consider me excited.
