EA Rewarding PvZ: Garden Warfare Players With Free Garden Warfare 2 Items
Those who ranked up on the cartoony battlefields of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare can expect some free goodies when the sequel deploys next month.Today EA announced a loyalty rewards program for Garden Warfare 2, which will give players of the original game some extra items for sticking with the franchise. Upon importing their characters and progression, players will be eligible for the following rewards, as described by EA:
- Rank 10 or higher – Receive a free Helpful Fun Pack (contains 5 customization and consumable items).
- Rank 25 or higher – Receive a free Wondrous Pack of Greatness (contains 7 customization and consumable items, with a guaranteed super rare item).
- Rank 50 or higher – Receive a free character unlock (guaranteed rare or super rare character).
- Rank 100 or higher – Receive five Super Rare Customization Items – with a 'glowing' effect added to them for good measure.
- Max Rank of 313 – Last but not least, players who reach will receive a 313 Max Pack that includes a legendary character - the Unicorn Chomper and Unicorn Warp Ability. Because what's not to love about a warping Chomper?
The rewards are cumulative, so attaining rank 100 also nets you the rank 50, 25, and 10 rewards as well.
Xbox One owners can play Garden Warfare for free this weekend and start leveling up; the game is also available for free via the publisher's EA Access subscription service. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 23. For more on the game, check out our hands-on preview from last E3.
