This Lego-fied BB-8 Is Almost As Awesome As The Real Thing

by Jeff Marchiafava on Jan 18, 2016 at 06:14 AM

Sure, it might not be able to roll anywhere, but this BB-8 built out of Lego bricks is still mighty impressive. Watch the video now to see how it was created.

Bright Bricks is a UK company that dubs itself "the professional Lego building company," and after checking out some of the awesome Lego displays it has created over the years, we're inclined to agree. The company's latest creation is a full-scale replica of BB-8 made for the UK premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Not only did the blocky statue turn out great, but the time-lapse video below shows just how much work when into its creation. Before you AFOLers cry foul, Bright Brick says the steel support beam and adhesive used are required by law for any public display in the UK.

For your own, slightly less-involved Lego BB-8 (okay, drastically less-involved), check out these Star Wars: Force Awakens Lego minifigures.
