Star Wars: The Force Awaken's "Traitor Trooper" Gets Backstory
The baton-wielding First Order stormtrooper created a big splash with fans when The Force Awakens finally hit theaters. Now, Disney has given the character some backstory and a name.
Officially called FN-2199, this trooper’s nickname is Nines, and Greg Rucka’s new book Before the Awakening actually details Nines backstory. Nines is member of riot control (an elite squad that puts down uprisings), which is why he has the fancy Z6 baton.
