Blind Player Completes Ocarina Of Time Playthrough After Nearly Five Years

by Brian Shea on Jan 04, 2016 at 03:41 PM

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time can challenge gamers with its big boss fights and puzzling dungeons, but imagine making your way through the entire game without the ability to see what you're doing or what you're fighting. For one gamer, who goes by MegaTgarrett, that is the reality of every gaming experience. As a blind gamer, MegaTgarrett has triumphed over 2D games, but beginning in May 2011, he decided to tackle a massive 3D in the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Using a Nintendo 64 emulator, which allows for save states, and two speakers in front of his face to help him better detect his surroundings using audio cues, MegaTgarrett defeated Ganon over the weekend, nearly five years after the first video in his series was uploaded. For a detailed description from the man himself, check out the first video below.

To see MegaTgarrett confront Ganon in the final sequence of the game and get his confident reaction, watch the video below.
