Mass Effect Andromeda's Senior Development Director Departs From Bioware

Chris Wynn, the senior development director for Mass Effect: Andromeda, has announced he's left both the project and Bioware. He tweeted out the news on December 22nd:

As of this time, no reason have been given for his departure from the studio.

Before working on Bioware's sci-fi RPG series, Wynn worked on franchises like Gears of War and Madden. He has not revealed if he has any new projects lined up.

Update: Bioware has issued a statement concerning Wynn's departure: "Chris was a great member of the team. We want to thank him for his contributions and we wish him the best in his new adventures. Development of Mass Effect Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at BioWare Montreal, Edmonton and Austin."

Our Take
While this might be distressing news for fans of a hotly-anticpated game that's supposedly a year away from release, the reason for Wynn's departure are unclear and it's best not to jump to a conclusion before the facts are in. Regardless of the reason why, Wynn is clearly a talented developer and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
