Uncharted 4 Delayed More Than A Month Until April 26

by Mike Futter on Dec 23, 2015 at 03:15 AM

Naughty Dog and Sony have announced another delay for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The game will now be shipping in late April.

This latest delay pushes the game back more than five weeks. “As we approached our final deadlines and started wrapping up the game’s levels, we realized that several key sequences needed extra resources to bring them to the finish line,” write Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley.

The delay leaves Uncharted 4 without much competition right now. Major titles releasing in April at this point include Dark Souls III, Ratchet & Clank, and Quantum Break.

Our Take
The biggest impact to Sony with this move is moving Uncharted 4 out of the current fiscal year. While it would have only had 13 days to make an impact, given how big a title this is for the PlayStation brand, it would have made a difference.
