Black Ops III’s First Map Pack, Awakening, Lands On PS4 February 2
The first Call of Duty: Black Ops III map pack, Awakening, has a release date on PlayStation 4, and you can check out the new trailer below. The four included maps take place in a variety of environments, including a rainy urban setting and tropical rainforest.
You’ll also be visiting an abandoned water park, with twisting and turning slides. One of the maps, Skyjacked, is a re-envisioning of Black Ops II’s Hijacked map. The new version takes advantage of the latest title’s enhanced movement options.
There’s also a new zombies chapter that takes players back to a medieval German castle. How this its in with the Shadows of Evil campaign featured in the core game is yet to be seen.
You can check out the preview trailer above and our review for more information. The map pack will be out on February 2 on PlayStation 4 and at least 30 days later on Xbox One and PC. No information has yet been revealed about last-gen DLC.
