Bethesda Opens New Studio In Montreal

by Matthew Kato on Dec 09, 2015 at 04:01 AM

Fallout 4 publisher/developer Bethesda is opening up a new game studio in Montreal, Quebec, for unannounced projects on the console, PC, and mobile platforms.

The company says it's already hired over 40 developers at the location (and is still hiring), which will be directed by Yves Lachance. Lachance previously worked with Bethesda when he was with Behaviour Interactive (formerly known as A2M), who created Fallout Shelter and collaborated with Bethesda on the last-gen version of Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Our Take
The location of this new studio is no surprise, as it will enable Bethesda to draw on an already rich talent pool in the area.
