Daily Challenge Mode Coming To You Must Build A Boat

by Javy Gwaltney on Dec 07, 2015 at 11:24 AM

EightyEight Games' You Must Build a Boat, a standalone sequel to the critically acclaimed 10000000, is receiving an update on Thursday that allows players to tackle daily challenges for in-game rewards. According to developer Luca, players who last long enough to meet the challenge goals will earn skins for their boat.

You Must Build A Boat is a genre fusion of match-three and endless runner that lets you travel the world in a boat, taking on procedural dungeons and clearing them in order to earn loot that you can use to build your boat. The game was released earlier this year and is available on PC, iOS and Android.

10000000 was Game Informer's 2012 mobile game of the year and former editor Bryan Vore had a number of positive things to say in his review of You Must Build a Boat. You can also check out our Test Chamber of the game if you want to see it in action.

Our Take
Daily Challenge modes have boosted the longevity of games like Spelunky and The Binding of Isaac by giving players a reason to return to them time and time again. The more dally challenges the merrier, we say.
