Darkest Dungeon Coming To PS4 & Vita This Spring

by Matthew Kato on Nov 18, 2015 at 05:27 AM

Glory and riches are the goals of all dungeon hunters, but in Darkest Dungeon, madness, other maladies, and death challenge any who dare enter. Now, explorers on PlayStation 4 and Vita will be able to take up developer Red Hook Studio's formidable challenge.

The game is scheduled to hit the systems some time in the spring of next year. Currently it's in Steam Early Access, with a PC release date of January 19.

Darkest Dungeon tasks players with assembling a party of characters of different classes as they fight and explore their way through different dungeons. Perma-death, various debuff states, effective party management, and characters' stress levels are just some of the challenges that await.

Our Take
Given the game's dungeon crawling and presentation, this would be a perfect candidate for PS4/Vita's cross-play save transfer feature as well as cross buy, but it's unknown if the game will support those features at this time.
