Final Fantasy XI Takes A Bow

by Matthew Kato on Nov 10, 2015 at 03:14 AM

After 14 years of service, Square Enix is closing the curtains on Final Fantasy XI's story today with the release of the final chapter of the Rhapsodies of Vana'diel storyline.

The game will continue on the PC without any major updates, while the PS2 and Xbox 360 versions will be shut off in March of next year.

To mark the occasion, anyone with an inactive account can play the game's final chapter for free from November 13 to November 24. Square is also offering deep discounts on the game's expansions and add-on content via digital download.

For more details on re-activating your account, head over to this official page.

Our Take
Getting everyone back together for the final chapter is a great move – anyone going to reactivate their account?
