Super Mario Generations Mod Sidelines Sonic In Favor Of His Mustachioed Rival
Sonic Generations garnered a lukewarm reception when it released in 2011, but would it have been better received if it starred Mario instead? Modder Daku Neko attempts to answer that eternal question with a clever Sonic Generations mod that replaces the blue blur with gaming's most famous plumber
The PC-only Super Mario Generations sees Mario and co. take the reins from Sonic and his anthropomorphic critter pals. The mod features playable boss battles against major Mario villains, as well as the ability to control Luigi. New music, sound effects, and HUD further complete the Mario's oddly fitting transition into Sonic's world.
