Gravity Rush 2's Combat Takes Center Stage
The segment of Sony’s Paris Games Week presentation focused on Gravity Rush 2 spelled out the options that players will have during battle. Fans of the original will be happy to see that Kat’s options have expanded.
Though she is still able to use the normal gravity-altering mechanic from the original, Kat has two new gravity styles to switch between. The first is Lunar Style, which makes her lighter and faster. The second is Jupiter Style, which makes her heavier, but increases attack power.
As you throw down with the three gravity options, destructible elements in the environment break apart to add to the carnage.
The final reveal highlights another, A.I.-controlled character who joins Kat in battle, allowing for a tag-team approach to combat. These tidbits may not seem like much, but considering we just learned of the game’s existence last month at the Tokyo Game Show, we still have plenty of time to learn more.
Gravity Rush 2 is scheduled to release in 2016.
