Fan-Made Marvel Zombies Trailer Scares Up A Superhero World Gone Mad
Ten years ago, one Marvel’s many alternate universes went very wrong. A being crashed into Earth-2149, and systematically turned all of that world’s superpowered beings into ravenous undead.
The infection leaves its victims hungry for human flesh, but their personalities are intact (unless they’ve been so deprived of “food” that they lose themselves until they feed). The twist of leaving the “heroes” in control of their faculties, even if horribly corrupted, is a spin we don’t often see.
One fan, Alex Luthor, decided to take it upon himself and cut together a trailer for a Marvel Zombies film, further whetting our appetite. The footage includes clips from a variety of Marvel and zombie films, including World War Z.
We’ve long posited that this would make an interesting scenario for a video game. Seeing a film concept further whets our appetite for an adaptation of this branch of the Marvel Universe.
