Free ‘Day Of The Devs’ Indie Event Returns To San Francisco In November

Double Fine has announced its third annual Day of the Devs event taking place in San Francisco next month. If you happen to be in the city on November 7, the free event will feature a number of indie games.

Day of the Devs will include Fullbright’s Tacoma, Capy’s Below, and Double Fine’s own Day of the Tentacle remake. You can also sample the following games:

  • Day of the Tentacle
  • Death's Gambit

  • Fantastic Contraption
  • Gang Beasts

  • Overland
  • Oxenfree
  • Pit People
  • Rising Thunder
  • Scale
  • Secret Legend
  • Sound Self
  • Spy Party
  • Tacoma

  • What Remains of Edith Finch

The event takes place from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on November 7 at The Midway (900 Marin Street), and you can RSVP on Facebook. If you can’t make it, a streaming component will be available on Double Fine’s Twitch channel.

 

Our Take
Bringing all of these games together gives the public an opportunity to see what’s coming down the road. Visibility is a challenge for smaller games, and events like this create a critical mass and centralized promotional opportunity.
