Pocky & Rocky With Becky Is Now Available On Wii U Virtual Console
Pocky & Rocky with Becky, a Game Boy Advance game, is now available on Wii U thanks to the Virtual Console. The title is a single-player action game from Natsume where players can choose between three characters as they travel to seal the dangerous Hydra Dragon before it can exact revenge for its last imprisonment.
Each character in the game has unique abilities, which can be enhanced by various items that are found over the course of the journey. Along the way, players will encounter ghosts, monsters, and various boss fights before finally facing off against the Hydra Dragon.
While we never reviewed Pocky & Rocky with Becky, we did take a look at its cooperative Super NES predecessor, Pocky & Rocky, in an episode of Replay from 2012 which you can view below. Pocky & Rocky with Becky is now available on the Wii U Virtual Console for $6.99 on the eShop.
Our Take
While I have no experience with this series, it looks like a fun shoot 'em up that I might end up trying if I can find some time during the holiday rush. That said, there are still several Nintendo classics I would rather have appear on the Wii U Virtual Console (Mario Kart 64 and Star Fox 64 among them).
