Street Fighter V's Second Beta Detailed, Will Feature Cross-Platform Play

by Marcus Stewart on Oct 07, 2015 at 10:45 AM

Street Figher V’s second beta period opens up in the next few weeks. Capcom has rolled out a list of features players can expect to see when it goes live on October 22.

First, PC players will be able to join the fight for the first time. This is to test out the game’s cross-platform play with PlayStation 4 participants.

On day one, four new selectable fighters will be available: Ken, Necalli, Vega, and R. Mika. On October 23, Rashid joins that group. Karin makes it a sixer on the third day, October 24. Fighters from the first beta will not be included.

Ranked matchmaking will be present to ensure players of similar skill-levels are paired together. Capcom will let players use Fight Money to unlock new titles and a new stage.

October 25 is when the beta wraps up. You can find more information, including news on leaderboards and player searches, by visiting Capcom Unity.

Our Take
Street Fighter fans should have a fun four days of fighting headed their was, especially with PS4 and PC players being able to trade hadoukens with one another. Like probably many of you, I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that this beta doesn't suffer a meltdown like the initial one.
