Rare Nintendo Amiibos Coming Back To Retail
A tweet from Nintendo earlier today is the answer to many collectors’ fervent requests. Several of Nintendo’s most sought-after Amiibos are headed back to select retail locations soon. The figures include Captain Falcon, Fox, Greninja, Little Mac, Lucario, and Shulk.
Nintendo neglects to mention a further clarification of what it means by “soon,” so while you can take some faith that they’ll return at some point, it’s likely now time to start checking retailers on a daily basis if you want to make sure and snag one of the Amiibos that you’re missing.
I'm sure collectors are pleased to have another shot at some of these figures, but speaking from collecting experience, not knowing when they'll show back up and whether you'll miss your second chance is almost as painful as knowing the figure is forever out of reach. Regardless, with the most recent wave of Amiibo figures easier to find than in previous waves, here's hoping this news in indicative that Nintendo is changing its broader approach towards Amiibo release to make it easier for collectors to find what they want.
