Warhammer 40K Dawn Of War Series Is Free To Try On Steam This Weekend

by Mike Futter on Sep 25, 2015 at 04:12 AM

There are a ton of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 games coming out soon, but two of the best have been out for some time. Relic Entertainment’s Dawn of War real-time strategy series is free to try on Steam this weekend.

You can play both Dawn of War and Dawn of War II (and all their expansions) at no cost now through Sunday, September 27 at 1 p.m. Pacific / 4 p.m. Eastern. For those that want to purchase, everything is 75 percent off through Monday, September 28, at 10 a.m. Pacific / 1 p.m. Eastern.

Relic, which is now owned by Sega, has some added bonuses for both titles. A new multiplayer map is being added to Dawn of War (the first in seven years). For Dawn of War II, four sets of wargear are being given away. These were originally pre-order bonuses.

Both games should be in your Steam library right now. And as a personal note, I recently started playing Dawn of War, and despite its age, it most certainly holds up.
