Prometheus Sequel's Title Embraces The Alien Lineage

by Kyle Hilliard on Sep 24, 2015 at 11:56 AM

Alien and Prometheus director Ridley Scott has revealed the title of the 2012 Alien prequel film's sequel, and it's called Alien: Paradise Lost.

Scott revealed the new film's title speaking with heyuguys.com while promoting his most recent film, The Martian.

After revealing the title, heyuguys.com followed up with Scott for more detail, which you can see in the video below.

Where leading up to the first Prometheus film, its creators actively avoided admitting it was tied to the Alien films, it seems the sequel will filly embrace the overlap and explain how the Xenomorph came about.

It's unclear how this film will affect the schedule of Aliens 5, which is currently in production by District 9 director, Neill Blomkamp.

We are, of course big fans of the Alien franchise around these parts. You can find our review of Alien: Isolation by heading here.
