Atlus USA Teases Hatsune Miku For Persona 4: Dancing All Night In North America

by Mike Futter on Sep 22, 2015 at 08:50 AM

Hatsune Miku has been announced for Persona 4: Dancing All Night in Japan, but concerns about licensing left us wondering if she’d make it to our shores. There’s no confirmation yet, but it looks like Atlus might be hinting at some good news.

Today, the publisher delivered a fresh batch of screenshots alongside a video for downloadable characters Adachi and Marie. In the bundle was a strange image that looks like this:

Don’t be ashamed if you don’t recognize it. It’s a leek. For those not indoctrinated in the Japanese vocaloid sensation’s repertoire, let me assist.

The track is called "Levan Polka." If you don’t want to watch the whole thing, here’s the relevant section.

Yes, that’s a leek. No, we don’t understand why that is a prop of choice. Regardless, Hatsune Miku’s arrival in Persona 4: Dancing All Night here in North America seems a bit more likely now.

Our Take
This is a strange easter egg, but Hatsune Miku fans might have reason to celebrate. Atlus USA might not be ready to confirm for sure, but the connection is there (and images don't magically appear in fully vetted screenshot drops for no reason).
