EA has announced that anyone who wants to participate in the Star Wars Battlefront beta will be able to. The upcoming test phase on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC is set to start next month.

Included in the beta are offline and online modes with split screen and co-op included. The Walker Assault mode on Hoth is one of the featured modes, as is Drop Zone (the recently revealed capture point variant) on Sullust.

There is a survival mission on Tatooine that can be tackled solo or with a friend. This supports both online and local play.

Star Wars Battlefront will be out on November 17. For more, check out our most recent preview.

Our Take
Opening the beta up gives EA the chance to push the servers hard in order to prepare for launch. There's a lot riding on Battlefront's success and as powerful as the Star Wars license is, the Force can't make an online game fun on overloaded servers.
