Full 1080p, 60 Frames-Per-Second Xbox One Streaming Comes To Windows 10 Today
Windows 10 users are getting some new features today for Xbox One game streaming. The highlight is a bump to 1080p and 60 frames-per-second, but there are other additions worth noting.
You can now conveniently message friends or invite them to a party with a right-click of the mouse over their Gamertag. You can also add non-Xbox games to your Windows 10 Xbox App (similar to how Steam handles things).
Even if you’re not streaming to PC, the August update has something for you. You’ll also be able to compare achievements, see your games in a new grid view, and customize your notifications.
The Windows 10 Xbox App is also getting an update to fix some minor problems. These include issues with sign-in, localization, and streaming. To find out if you have the update, look for version number 8.8.15003.00000 or higher.

I’ve not yet upgraded to Windows 10 (I’m letting others put it through its paces first), but the streaming features intrigue me. I’ll wait a bit longer before jumping in, but I suspect this feature will get some play in my house.
