Sony Announces Darth Vader PlayStation 4 Console Battlefront And Disney Infinity Bundles

by Kyle Hilliard on Aug 16, 2015 at 09:43 AM

Sony has announced Darth Vader-themed PlayStation 4 consoles bundles to celebrate Star Wars: Battlefront and Disney Infinity 3.0.

The consoles itself (the 500 GB model) has Darth Vader's face on it and the Star Wars logo repeated on top of it, and the controller is themed after the panel of colored buttons he wears on his chest.

There are three ways to get the special console. The first is the Star Wars: Battlefront bundle, which includes the special Star Wars console, the controller, the game, and a voucher to download classic Star Wars titles, Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars Bounty Hunter. These four titles apparently have upgraded graphics for play on PlayStation 4 as well as Trophy support.

A Battlefront bundle with the same games but with a standard console, will also be available.

The other bundle, the Disney Infinity 3.0 bundle, has all the same content, except Battlefront is replaced with Disney Infinity 3.0, the Disney Infinity Base, the Rise Against the Empire Play Set Pack with Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa figures and the Rise Against the Empire Play Set piece, as well as the Boba Fett figure. This bundle will be available exclusively at Walmart.

All the bundles will be available November 17.

Our Take
That console is cool and all, but what I really want is the controller and Super Star Wars with trophies. Hopefully those will be available separately.
