Rocksteady Offers First Gameplay Footage Of the Burton/Keaton 1989 Batmobile In Arkham Knight

by Kyle Hilliard on Aug 15, 2015 at 09:03 AM

Revealed last month, Batman: Arkham Knight is getting DLC with Riddler tracks and Batmobile and suit skins based on the 1989's Batman film, and this is the first time we're seeing it in action.

The '89 Batmobile footage begins at the 50 second mark in the video below. Part of the DLC is new Riddler tracks and the one shown in the video is based on the 1989 films. The Keaton/Burton-mobile is longer and more narrow and has better handling than the standard Batmobile. It's unclear if this Batmobile will only be useable on these dedicated courses, or if it will be useable in the main game as a tank mode is not shown in the video. We've reached out to Warner Bros. for confirmation.

The DLC, which includes the classic Batmobile as well as a collection of other skins, challenges, and racing courses, releases next week on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will be available to download as part of the season pass. The PC version of the game is still in limbo.
