Former BioWare Developers Take Mooncrest To Kickstarter With Bizarre Pitch Video
A group of former BioWare developers are teaming up to pitch their RPG, Mooncrest, to Kickstarter backers, and they have a strange pitch video.
You won't find gameplay, or a list of promises about what will be included in the game. Instead, you will see two women preparing to argue over a traffic violation suddenly get pulled into a discussion about classic RPG mechanics that have seemingly been forgotten. They talk about Souls combat, difficult puzzles, and the need for a strong female protagonist with a bow among other things while a group of developers listens nearby. You can see the video here.
This isn't Mooncrest's announcement. Developer KnightMayor has been sharing development updates on the game for a few weeks. You can read more about the game here. So far the game has raised just over $7,500 of its $400,000 goal with 29 days left in the campaign.

Our Take
Got to set yourself apart from the average Kickstarter pitch videos somehow. An atypical video that eschews the typical Kickstarter conventions is a good way to start.
