Reader Discussion: Do You Watch Speedruns?
Summer Games Done Quick is happening right now. Do you enjoy watching speedruns?
It's a strange way to absorb the game, perhaps best done with games you're already familiar with. I started watching our Bloodborne speedrun video we did with the Games Done Quick folks, but fairly quickly turned it off when I realized we were quickly moving to areas I had not yet discovered, and I didn't want about any spoilers. Regardless, though, it was a fascinating spectacle.
How about you? Do you enjoy watching speedruns? Or do you like the full experience, aimless walking and contemplative puzzle solving and all?
