Dragon Quest VI Arrives On iOS And Android
Square Enix has delivered another Dragon Quest game on mobile devices. Dragon Quest VI is now available for iOS and Android devices.
The title includes The Slimopolis slime trainer, Slippin’ Slime, and Casino minigames. Dragon Quest VI is priced at $14.99.
This may complete the set of titles currently slated for mobile devices, based on a conversation we had with Square Enix at PAX 2014. Dragon Quest 1 through 6 and 8 are now all available.
Unfortunately, Dragon Quest VII is unlikely to receive the same treatment. Dragon Quest mobile producer Noriyoshi Fujimoto told us in August that bringing that game to iOS or Android is “technically impossible” due to the large amount of text.
Our Take
I admire the effort taken to bring these games to mobile devices, but I’m not sure I’d play a long RPG on my iDevice.
