Fallout 4 Is 1080p And 30 Frames Per Second On Xbox One And PS4

by Mike Futter on Jun 22, 2015 at 05:53 AM

Bethesda has answered one of this generation’s most repeated inquiries. We now know the resolution and frame rate for Fallout 4 on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

If you use these data points to make your single-player gaming decisions, they won’t be of help here. The highly anticipated game will run at 1080p and 30 frames per second on both of the current-gen consoles.

PC players won’t be restricted by anything more than their own hardware, as usual. Fallout 4 will be out on November 10. For more, check out our coverage from E3.

Our Take
Right now, the edge goes to the Xbox One version thanks to the announced mod support on that platform. The same feature might be coming to PlayStation 4 to balance things out, but as of now, we only know that Bethesda is trying to make it happen. Mod support is coming to Xbox One in early 2016.
