Fallout 4 Gives Voice To Vault Survivor

by Matthew Kato on Jun 14, 2015 at 05:08 PM

Fallout fans have been waiting for their protagonist to speak, and Fallout 4 gives a voice to your Vault dweller.

The new speaking ability of your protagonist is evident right from the start when gamers choose how their character will look. The husband and wife characters talk as you look into the mirror, choose your character's sex, and sculpt his/her looks.

A Vault salesman comes to the door, and here we see the radial wheel for conversation choices for you to speak. On the flipside, your family's Mister Handy robot has been programmed with 1,000 popular names, so your robot won't necessarily just refer to your hero as "sir" or "ma'am."

As we see the demo's protagonist exploring the wasteland, he also voices commands to his dog, with contextual commands issued by pointing around the environment.

Fallout 4 is shaping up to be an impressive game, and although it sounds like a small thing, we're sure the added voice acting will add a lot to the game.
