Here Are Some Developers And Games Revealed For The Oculus Rift

by Mike Futter on Jun 11, 2015 at 08:35 AM

At this morning's Oculus pre-E3 press conference, we learned a bit more about the software that will be coming to the system. A number of games were mentioned by name, with other companies appearing on a partial list of those developing for the hardware.

Earlier, we reported on Gunfire Games' Chronos and Insomniac's Edge of Nowhere. We also got brief looks at Damaged Core from High Voltage, VR Sports Challenge (a number of simulated sports offerings) from Sanzaru Games, Esper from Coatsink, and a version of Airmech for VR from Carbon.

There was also a new gameplay trailer of CCP's EVE Valkyrie and Playful's Lucky's Tail. We also learned that Square Enix, Signal Studios (Toy Soldiers), Ready at Dawn (who told us yesterday we'd find out soon about another development platform), 4A Games (Metro 2033 and Last Light) are all working on titles.

We've already sampled one of Harmonix's VR projects, a VR music visualizer, but there may be more in the works.  We'll have additional previews from E3 next week. If you're a developer interested in developing for the Rift, you might be interested in Oculus' indie development accelerator fund.
