Los Angeles Becomes Los Santos In Live-Action Grand Theft Auto V

by Christian Belland on Jun 10, 2015 at 12:09 PM

Corridor Digital, the technical wizards behind videos such as Dubstep Guns and The Glitch, have painstakingly replicated gameplay from Grand Theft Auto V – in real life.

Cash explodes out of the "NPCs" when they bite the dust. Even the protagonist’s punch is identical to the game’s animation when he decks some poor guy at the “Galileo” Observatory. The video is a true testament to Rockstar’s fastidious translation of Los Angeles into video game form. There's also a behind-the-scenes video that shows some of the nifty tricks Corridor Digital used to get that perfect third-person camera work.

Rockstar is making their Los Santos a bit more enticing this weekend as well. In Grand Theft Auto Online, double cash, double RP, and more will be offered in a three-day event that goes live this Friday.
