Seattle Seahawks' Marshawn Lynch Gets Villainous In Call Of Duty: Black Ops III

by Mike Futter on Jun 09, 2015 at 08:42 AM

It's not going to be a surprise when we tell you that Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is on the cover of ESPN Magazine. What might catch you off guard is that he's representing Call of Duty: Black Ops III as part of the publication's eSports issue.

Lynch is a fan of video games, as evidenced by his appearance on Conan O'Brien's Clueless Gamer playing Mortal Kombat X. Now, he's making the move from Madden to mayhem, as a villain in Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

During a visit to Treyarch's studios, Lynch received the full motion capture experience. Not only will his image be in the game this fall, but he also acted out the part on the motion capture stage.

You can read the entire story on ESPN's website. The ESPN Magazine eSports issue will be on shelves June 22.

Our Take
With so many hollywood stars appearing in games, it was only a matter of time before other celebrities found their way into blockbusters. Lynch was hilarious during his time on Clueless Gamer, and I'm looking forward to seeing his performance in Black Ops III.
