PlanetSide 2 Release Locked And Loaded For PlayStation 4 Later This Month
Sony and former subsidiary Daybreak have announced the release date for PlanetSide 2. The nine-month beta period is coming to an end, and the real war begins this month.
When PlanetSide 2 arrives on PlayStation 4, in addition to its huge, record-setting battles, it will include some features exclusive to console. Right now, the only one stated outright is the Koltyr map, though Daybreak says it will be incorporating new items in the marketplace, special events, and additional content.
PlanetSide 2 is a free-to-play game, which means that you do not need PlayStation Plus to access it. The game is scheduled to launch on June 23.

I'm always wary of free-to-play games. Those that I do play typically until I'm asked to pay. Very few have coaxed me to open my wallet. I'm interested to find out which camp PlanetSide 2 lands in.
