Turtle Beach Releases Elite 800X Wireless Xbox One Surround Sound Headset
When gaming on an Xbox One, most headsets require a connection to the controller. Turtle Beach has entirely cut the cords, with a 7.1 surround sound headset that is completely wireless.
The Elite 800X features 50mm drivers (the larger the driver, the better it produces the low end of the range and most headsets have drivers ranging from 40 to 50mm), noise cancelation, and hidden microphones. Because this is a wireless headset, there is a single 50mm driver in each ear and the 7.1 surround sound is simulated through audio processing.
You can also use the Elite 800X with bluetooth devices, like phones and tablets. The headset also has a companion app for managing presets, which can be changed wirelessly.
The Elite 800X retails for $299.95 and is available now.
